Driving for the wind
Last weekend, my dad and I drove three hours each way to see the Healing Path Reflection Booth in Maryville, Tennessee. It was a really great time to reconnect - we also had some wonderful conversations about death, dying, and the disposal of our bodies. We also visited Buc-Ees which was certainly interesting.
This weekend, I’m dragging my kids on a five-and-a-half hour long trip from our home in Nashville to Leitchfield, Kentucky to Clarksville, Tennessee. We’ll be meeting the stewards of both phones and getting lots of photographs for the site! These phones are simple and are placed amongst breathtaking scenery, and I’m very much looking forward to seeing them.
The pages for these two wind phones will go live on Saturday night.
In two-and-a-half weeks, my mom and I will see two more wind phones in New York City, and this fall, we’ll go to four phones in the Raleigh/Durham/Greensboro, North Carolina area as well as one phone (potentially three if I can find one of them and get permission to visit another). I have friends who are assisting in getting pictures of others in New Jersey, Connecticut, Kansas, Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oregon, and Washington.
I’m always looking for help getting photographs and information, and if you’re willing to assist with detailed photos of wind telephones in your area, please eMail me at enwindtelephone@gmail.com.
Thank you!
